Psyche is the Greek goddess whose name means "soul" or "butterfly," representing the soul's journey and immortality. She is depicted as a beautiful woman with butterfly wings in Greek sculpture. In the beginning of her story she is a mortal princess whose beauty is only rivaled by Venus. Psyche endured trials set by Venus after she secretly married Venus’ husband Cupid (Eros) and she was eventually made immortal.

The crystals used in this necklace are two teardrop shaped larimar beads, lapis lazuli, freshwater pearls and Apatite beads.
