Hathor was a powerful and popular goddess in ancient Egyptian religion, embodying love, beauty, dance, fertility and motherhood. This energy pairs well with the cockle seashell pendant which across cultures has symbolized fertility and love because of its bowl shape being akin to the female womb. Hathor was also fond of lapis lazuli being a goddess of beauty, she crushed the stone to extract the luxurious blue pigment to use as make up.
This necklace combines cross pearls, tiny round pearls, gold-plated and Lapis Lazuli beads. The shell itself was found on a beach in Zanzibar.
It measures 44 centimeters in length. All findings are gold-plated. The crystals and pearls are AAA+ quality.
