The red rose is traditionally associated with deep, unconditional love—not just romantic, but sacred love. In mystical Christianity, Mary Magdalene is often seen as an embodiment of devotional love, especially in her relationship to Jesus as a close disciple and spiritual companion. Therefore, the red rose often symbolizes Mary Magdalene, and is used to invoke her energy.

To further this connection I used cross pearls to symbolize the sacrifice Jesus made. Not in a purely religious devotion, but to spark Christ consciousness, the unitive awareness that all of life is interconnected and expresses the divine, it’s a state of elevated consciousness exemplified by Jesus and other spiritual masters, transcending ego and fear.

Lastly, to amplify the passion that the red rose brings there is carnelian crystal beads strung between the pearls. It is a grounding force that lights one’s inner fire, sparking creativity, physical strength and fertility.

The necklace measures 40 centimeters, all findings are gold-plated and all crystals and pearls are AAA+ quality.
